Dental Insurance

Your dental insurance plan is a form of compensation provided by your employer. You can expect your insurance provider to cover a portion of our fee. That portion is determined by the contract between your employer and the insurance company. The higher the premium paid by you or your company, generally the more generous the reimbursement.

Dental insurance differs from medical insurance in many ways. With most dental insurance plans your insurance company will cover a percentage of our fees until you reach a maximum annual dollar amount. After your annual maximum has been reached, your insurance company will no longer pay any portion of your bill. However, if our office is a “preferred” provider in your insurance company network, you will often be entitled to discounted fees even after you reach your annual maximum.

We want to help you receive the maximum reimbursement to which you are entitled. As a convenience to you, we will help you process your insurance claims in order for you to receive the maximum benefit. We will also gladly provide dental x-rays and a written diagnostic report should your insurance company have any questions about the services provided.

At the Sandia Smiles Dental Center your oral health is very important to us. We will always provide you with the highest level of care regardless of your insurance limitations. We will never compromise our high standard of care to facilitate insurance limitations. To do so would violate your trust – something we are not willing to do!
