We would like to thank all who participated in the Operation Gratitude Halloween Candy Buy Back event in 2009. We are pleased with the response from the community and are already looking forward to 2010. We collected 624 pounds of candy from 135 individual donors! It felt like amountain of candy as seen in the pictures below.
For your information, Maggie Cordova elementary school in Rio Rancho had the most participation with 26 students donating 130 pounds of candy. They are the recipients of the 2009 $500 prize for their school library.
